The Wakeboard Association (Singapore) was formed back in 2000 by several wakeboarders that were commited to the promotion of the sport. It continues to be an independant, non-profit organistion to this day. The primary purpose of the WBA is to cultivate greater interaction within the local wakeboarding community and to promote the growth of the sport.

The primary objectives of the WBA are to:

- Create a greater awareness of wakeboarding as a sport and encourage its participation in Singapore.

- Encourage and facilitate closer interaction among all wakeboarders.
- Provide avenues for wakeboarders to improve individual skills.

- Promote and encourage safe riding within the wakeboarding community.

THE WBA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The WBA is led by a team of wakeboarders for wakeboarders. They are:

President - Mr Tan Chun Yih
Vice President - Mr Stephen Liew (Boat)
Vice President - Mr Mark Griffin (Cable)
Hon Secretary - Miss Judith Lim
Hon Treasurer - Miss Jolene Soo
Committee Members - Mr Fabian Bricard, Mr Jonathan Chan, Mr Roger Koa, Mr Chris Yeo, Mr Sebastian Leat

Nevertheless, the support from the wakeboard community has been instrumental to the WBA's success.
